LOWER PACKINGTON ROAD SPORTS GROUND DEVELOPMENT
Community Sports Ground Development Plans

The objective:
To create a "one club" facility for all teams to benefit from and which is sustainable with a focus on youth development and enjoyment as well as an emphasis on increased community involvement.

Our ultimate objective is to completely modernise the existing building and add additional changing facilities to the building to accommodate the number of teams and users that we currently benefit from as a club. In addition to this we aim to add a 3rd generation pitch for all year round training and community/school use.

To achieve the clubs objective we are actively seeking available grants to support:

  • Building Modernisation
  • Additional Facilities
  • Pitch Drainage and construction to accommodate mini soccer and senior teams
  • Erection of Floodlighting
  • Enclosed 3rd generation pitch with floodlighting
  • New entrance and associated car parking

The club will be required to provide a contribution of funding towards any grants but we can also include materials if supplied and labour if given so any help in these areas would be greatly advantageous to the funding applications.

The Development - Existing Building

Phase One - Winter 2011/12

  • To refurbish the existing buildings bar and catering area in order to offer refreshments and a place to relax and meet.

In order to achieve this we will require assistance from local businesses to supply materials at cost or free in lieu of some agreed level of advertising/sponsorship. They will be known as "Foundation Partners"
Additionally we will require the labour from volunteers who are either qualified or who can assist with any help.

  • To renew the toilet facilities within the building and bring them to the required hygiene and safety standards.

In order to achieve this we are looking for any bathroom supplies - toilets, sinks, taps, urinals etc at cost or in lieu of advertising/sponsorship. Additionally we require qualified plumbers that can assist with their labour to install the new services.

Spring 2012

  • To provide perimeter fencing around the main pitch to conform with league requirements.
  • To provide dugouts to agreed area for home and visiting officials and players.

To achieve this we will be looking for fence posts for the perimeter and bricks and corrugated roofing for the dugouts.

  • To erect or construct new changing areas for home and visiting teams.

We will utilise existing changing facilities but may require temporary portacabins for changing whilst grants are completed for new changing blocks. We aim to have the portacabins sponsored or supplied for minimal cost.

YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU

If you are a tradesman then we need you to be part of our project team to achieve the refurbishment of the building. We also require general help for labour and other associated works.
